ILCA Thames Valley Travellers Series Open at Frensham Pond Sailing Club
25 ILCAs across 3 rigs gathered at a millpond-still Frensham on Sunday 8th September for our annual event, part of the Thames Valley Travellers Series. Despite the unpromising start, Race Officer Megan Pascoe delivered a full day of sailing with a slight breeze arriving at 11:30.
In the ILCA7s, Kat Gilbert emerged victorious in race 1, followed by Rebecca Videlo. Kat continued her dominance in race 2. Tristan Harding stood out in the ILCA6s, winning both pre-lunch races. Jai Mutreja sailed the solo ILCA4 alongside the ILCA6s.
After a heavy downpour during lunch, the fleet ventured out in the afternoon to better conditions. Rob Beere clinched the lead in race 3 of the ILCA7s, while Tristan Harding secured wins in both afternoon races for the ILCA6s.
