Kaia Bint Savage has been awarded the title of YJA Young Journalist of the Year 2024 at the Southampton International Boat Show. The award recognizes outstanding young talent in yachting and marine journalism. Kaia impressed the YJA members with her work on the Maiden Factor team and her dedication to marine journalism.
Annie Means and Anne de Kerviller tied for second place, while Jack Gore came in third. Kaia received a £500 Henri-Lloyd voucher, with Annie and Anne receiving £250 vouchers each. Jack received a year’s subscription to Practical Boat Owner magazine and an Ocean Bottle from Box PR.
Katy Stickland, Chair of the YJA, presented the award at the Southampton International Boat Show and commended all the nominees for their exceptional work. The YJA congratulates all the nominees and finalists and emphasizes the importance of nurturing young journalists in the marine industry.
