Max Maeder and Jessie Kampman emerged as the champions of Poetto Beach at the 2024 KiteFoil World Series Sardinia after securing the men’s and women’s titles on a challenging final day of competition.
The last day saw intense racing with Lucas Fonseca leading early on but getting disqualified, allowing Flo Gruber and Marija Dolenc to secure their spots in the finals. In the women’s division, Jessie Kampman maintained her lead to claim victory, while Max Maeder dominated the men’s race.
Gian Stragiotti pushed Maeder in the men’s final, but Maeder held his ground to secure the win. Kampman’s victory marked a significant milestone in her career, while Maeder praised Stragiotti’s performance throughout the competition.
The overall 2024 series titles went to Maeder and Kampman, who showcased their skills in Sardinia. The Kitefoil World Series may be over for this season, but the action continues with the Formula Kite Youth European Championship in Torregrande.
