The second edition of the Knox-Johnston Cup was a resounding success, with over 100 participants enjoying a weekend of big-boat racing in the Solent on 5-6 October 2024. Hosted by Clipper Events, the event honors Clipper Race founder Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and offers a unique blend of racing, socializing, and networking.

The Knox-Johnston Cup provides the opportunity to sail on Clipper 68s and Clipper 70s, experiencing a race around the Isle of Wight exclusive to Clipper Race yachts. Participants, ranging from past and future Clipper Race crew to corporate groups and individuals, had a diverse and memorable weekend both on and off the water.

The event featured training sessions to familiarize teams with the boats and crew, followed by a competitive race day where each yacht was led by a professional skipper. Despite challenging weather conditions, the crews showcased exceptional sailing skills, with Line Honours going to the Jambon Beurre team and overall victory to Knotting Wrong.

Sir Robin Knox-Johnston praised the crews for their handling of the adverse conditions, highlighting the competitive and camaraderie aspects of the event. The next edition of the Knox-Johnston Cup is scheduled for Autumn 2026.
