Lead Yachting Instructor at Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC)

WANTED: Principal Yachting Instructor at Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club

The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) holds a prestigious reputation as one of the world’s leading yacht clubs, boasting an impressive legacy that spans over 170 years in competitive and social sailing and rowing. The club is renowned for its active yacht racing program, which encompasses inshore, coastal, and offshore racing across its three prime locations. The main venue at Kellett Island features a multidisciplinary setup, complete with a well-equipped boatyard, while Middle Island serves as the training hub for dinghy and rowing, and Shelter Cove primarily caters to cruising sailing.

To enhance our training offerings for our large yachting community, RHKYC is currently seeking a Principal Yachting Instructor to take charge of and further develop the training initiatives previously undertaken by Asia Pacific Yachting Ltd (APY), an affiliate of the club.

The selected candidate will step into the role of RYA Principal & Chief Instructor at our RYA-recognised yacht sail training center, building on the success established by APY. This instructor will lead the development of the yacht training program and oversee the delivery of courses, supported by a network of Hong Kong-based YMIs and CIs available for practical course instruction.

RHKYC’s goal is to become Asia’s premier center of excellence for yacht training, aligning with the club’s vision to be recognized as the ultimate yacht club in Asia and one of the best globally for sailing.
