Monte Real Club de Yates Baiona emerged victorious in the 2nd edition of the Clube Naval de Cascais Invitational Cup, held from October 4th to 6th, 2024. The event featured nine teams from seven different clubs, including teams from Spain, Brazil, France, Monaco, Norway, Sweden, and Portugal.
The championship took place in the J70 class, with a league format where all teams competed in a qualification round followed by a final. After 24 qualification races, the top four teams advanced to the final phase, with Monte Real Club de Yates Baiona ultimately claiming the victory.
The event was successful in strengthening relationships between clubs and promoting a spirit of sportsmanship. It received support from various sponsors and environmental certification from Sailors for the Sea – Portugal.
