New faces emerged as leaders on the third day of maxi racing at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. Organized by the Société Nautique de Saint Tropez and overseen by the International Maxi Association, 41 maxi yachts competed on the Bay of Pampelonne.

The faster boats in Maxi A and B switched with the slower boats in Maxi C and D for the day’s races. While navigating a transition zone with changing winds, the competition was fierce. Remon Vos’ Black Jack 100 emerged victorious in Maxi A, showcasing its speed and agility in light conditions.

In Maxi B, Paul Berger’s Swan 82FD Kallima defeated Terry Hui’s Lyra, bringing an end to Lyra’s winning streak. The competition remains close as Lyra still holds the overall lead.

In Maxi C, Luigi Sala’s Vismara 62 Yoru regained its winning form, taking the victory in a close battle with Benoît de Froidmont’s Wally 60 Wallyño. The competition in this class is intense, with Yoru narrowly leading the standings.

In Maxi D, Anthony Ball’s Swan 65 sloop Six Jaguar faced tough competition from Luca Scoppa’s Dehler 60 Blue Oyster, but still holds the overall lead.

Racing will continue tomorrow before concluding on Saturday at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. For more information, visit the event website.
