Orient Express Racing Team Puts Emphasis on Youth to Challenger Pathway
The Orient Express Racing Team is focusing on developing young talent through the Youth America’s Cup. Since its inception in 2013, the Youth America’s Cup has become a stepping stone to professional yacht racing. The upcoming UniCredit Youth America’s Cup in 2024 will feature 12 teams, including six from the America’s Cup defender and challenger teams. The Youth America’s Cup has proven to be a valuable experience for many sailors, including Timothé Lapauw, Antoine Rucard, and Jason Saunders. The event in Barcelona will showcase exciting racing from September 17 to 26, with a fleet of 12 teams competing for the title.
