The 2024 ORC World Championship at the New York Yacht Club has concluded, with new champions emerging after six days of intense inshore and offshore racing. The event featured three classes, with teams from around the world showcasing exceptional skill and preparation.
The new ORC Class 0 World Champions are Victor Wild’s TP52 Fox 2.0, dominating their class with five wins out of seven races. In Class A, Austin & Gwen Fragomen’s Botin 44 Interlodge IV claimed the top spot, winning all but two races. Marcin Sutkowski’s Grand Soleil 44P Wind Whisper 44 secured the Class B title after a long journey and meticulous planning.
Other notable winners include Hap Fauth’s Maxi 72 Bella Mente and Jim Swartz’s Maxi 72 Vesper, who won the ORC Maxi North American Championship title. NEKA sailing‘s modified J/105 Sleeper took home the Class C North American title and the Class B all-amateur Corinthian Trophy.
The event showcased top-level racing and skill, with competitors from different classes vying for the prestigious titles. Congratulations to all the winners and podium finishers at this year’s ORC World Championship.
