With Miami’s delightful subtropical climate, participants can enjoy daily happy hours, entertainment, and live music following the races.
Bacardi’s events bring together professionals and amateurs alike, featuring a star-studded lineup of legendary sailors alongside dedicated weekend racers who return year after year. Biscayne Bay, known as one of the world’s most picturesque yet challenging racing venues, routinely attracts over 200 teams and more than 600 sailors to the Bacardi Cup Invitational Regatta (BCIR).

The Bacardi Winter Series for J/70 and Melges 24 in December 2024 and January 2025 sets the stage for the thrilling finale in March 2025. The 98th Bacardi Cup is set to draw Star sailors from across the globe, with the BCIR showcasing top one-design classes from March 2-8, 2025.

The Bacardi Cup
The Bacardi Cup symbolizes Bacardi’s enduring legacy in sailing. Since 1927, the brand has proudly partnered with the world of Star Class sailing, creating one of the sport’s most lasting relationships. The Bacardi Cup attracts the world’s top Star Class sailors, competing in a challenging six-day series for triumph and glory.
In 2024, Mateusz Kusnierewicz and Bruno Prada achieved an impressive fifth consecutive win at the 97th Bacardi Cup. Their remarkable teamwork has established them as champions for five straight years—2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Teams from around the globe will gather in Miami for the 98th Bacardi Cup, all vying for recognition on the coveted Bacardi Cup and Tito Bacardi Cup trophies.
Bacardi Winter Series and BCIR
The 2024/2025 Bacardi Winter Series kicks off for the Melges 24 and J/70 Classes. The series begins with BWS 1 from December 14-15, 2024, and follows with BWS 2 on January 24-26, 2025. The series culminates at the season finale during the BCIR.
Taking place from March 5-8, the BCIR features nine races over three days for the J/70, Melges 24, Snipe, VX One, and Viper 640 classes. These fast-paced events promise intense competition, with unique keeper trophies and special awards available.
