Results of West Lancashire Yacht Club’s 24-Hour Dinghy Race Winners Announced
West Lancashire Yacht Club recently announced the winners of the 53rd 24-Hour Dinghy Race, which took place on the weekend of September 21-22, 2024. Budworth sailing Club emerged victorious after 24 hours of non-stop sailing on Southport’s Marine Lake. The event showcased top sailing talent from across the UK, with Budworth A boat clinching the top spot, followed closely by South Staffordshire SC and Looe SC.
The return of the race to Southport after a five-year hiatus marked a new era of collaboration among sailing clubs. The event would not have been possible without the efforts of competitors, volunteers, and sponsors who contributed to its success.
