RS21 World Championship 2024 Kicks Off in L’Escala
The RS21 World Championship 2024 in L’Escala officially started on September 23rd at the regatta Village in Club Nàutic L’Escala. The opening ceremony included speeches from key figures and the hoisting of the class flag.
Teams have been arriving since September 21st, preparing for the championship with boat measurements and test sails. The event showcases sustainability with the use of environmentally friendly materials in the RS21 boats and innovative mark-setting technology.
The final day of preparation includes a training race, followed by qualifying races from September 25th to 28th. Up to 40 crews from various countries will compete for the world title in L’Escala.
The event is organized by Club Nàutic L’Escala and the RS21 International Class with support from sailing federations and local authorities. Various sponsors are also backing the championship.
