SailGP has announced the lineup for its upcoming season, with 11 teams set to compete in the season opener in Dubai on November 23-24, 2024. The fleet includes two new nations – Italy and Brazil – alongside established teams like Spain, New Zealand, Australia, and others.
The League has also confirmed the production of a 12th F50 catamaran, which will be used by France starting in Auckland, the second event of the season. This brings the total number of teams to 12, with plans for a new Italy SailGP Team led by Jimmy Spithill. Brazil will also debut in Dubai with Martine Grael as the first woman to drive for a SailGP team.
The 2025 Season promises a new scoring system and increased prize money for athletes. The Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix in November will kick off the season, featuring thrilling racing close to shore in front of the iconic Dubai skyline. Tickets are now available for the event at SailGP.com/Dubai.
