Comet Southern Aphelion at Littleton sailing Club
Littleton sailing Club hosted a successful Comet event after a year away from the venue. The race had 15 entrants from various clubs, enjoying ideal sailing conditions in a force 2-3 wind under sunny skies.
In the first race, Andy Dale took the lead followed by Chris Robinson, with a close battle throughout the course. Eddie Pope managed to secure second place behind Andy, with Chris coming in third.
Race 2 saw Ben Palmer initially over the line, and Eddie took the lead from Andy, maintaining it to the finish line. Andy, Chris, and Henry had a fierce battle for positions, with Andy securing second place in the end.
The final race, Race 3, saw Chris Robinson taking the lead and holding onto it for the win. Andy managed to overtake Eddie to secure second place overall.
With a total of 15 entrants, including 4 female helms, the event at Littleton was a great success. Ben Palmer emerged as the overall winner of the day, clinching the Comet’s Southern Aphelion series trophy.
