The AC40 represents the next stage in foiling innovation, with experienced sailors from various foiling classes participating in the races. In comparison to the AC75, the AC40 features similar rigging components but on a smaller scale, making it lighter and more agile. The crew composition is different, with four members onboard instead of 11. Future Fibres supplies rigging for both the AC75 and AC40, ensuring consistency in performance.
The Youth America’s Cup has become a stepping stone for young sailors to advance to the pinnacle of sailing, the America’s Cup.
