TF35 Les Voiles de Choisi Day 2
30 August – 1 September 2024
At the 10am briefing, the forecast for day two of the TF35 Les Voiles de Choisi promised a repeat of day one: no wind in the morning but a nice thermal breeze in the afternoon.
As the hours passed, sailors enjoyed breakfast at Villa Choisi and a game of Spikeball over lunch, but the wind remained elusive, leaving the lake perfectly calm—ideal for swimming but not for sailing.
The race committee was on the water all afternoon to monitor conditions, but the maximum wind speed recorded was only four knots. By 15:00, with no sign of a breeze, Class Manager Bertrand Favre officially called off the day, allowing teams to unwind and enjoy raclette on the shores of the lake.
Racing will resume tomorrow at the later time of 13:00 for the final day of the TF35 Les Voiles de Choisi.
