The 2024 “Belt and Road” International regatta took place at Beihai, China from October 10-12. The event featured 30 high-level sailing teams from various countries and regions, highlighting international sports exchange under the Belt and Road Initiative. Teams from Malaysia, Croatia, Turkey, Italy, France, South Africa, Spain, Vietnam, Singapore, and Hong Kong China participated in the regatta.
The pre-launch ceremony was attended by notable guests such as Li Li, Deputy Secretary of the Beihai Municipal Committee and Mayor, and Li Quanhai, President of World sailing. The regatta saw fierce competition over three days, with China SF Express sailing Team emerging as the champions. Individual awards were also established to recognize outstanding performances.
The awards ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the event. The 2024 “Belt and Road” International regatta will continue with three overseas races in Langkawi, Malaysia, Croatia, and Turkey.
