The Tide Ride is Back!

In 2024, we are delighted to announce that the Tide Ride is back, this year as the Soak Tide Ride!
The original Tide Ride was a highly anticipated event held in the early 2000s, featuring thrilling racing and a vibrant festival atmosphere. It was sponsored by Red Bull and Holt and even had coverage on the BBC!
Racing will take place at high water, with short, fast races featuring an upwind leg followed by a downwind leg through slalom gates. This format ensures exciting racing for both competitors and spectators.
Soak Tide Ride 2024 welcomes participants in 29ers, RS800s, WASZPs, and Wingfoiling.

We are thrilled to have the support of Soak Insurance, Salcombe Gin, and Sandy Point Water Sports for this exciting event.
Due to the detailed planning required, the event is limited to 50 craft per fleet, so early entries are encouraged and appreciated for better organization.
All entrants who register before September 7th will receive an event T-shirt!
Event Details:
- Saturday 5 October – Heats with 2 courses and live commentary from the balcony.
- Saturday night will feature a Party Night!
- Chilli will be available; tickets can be purchased at entry or later.
- All entrants will automatically be entered into the Fleet Raffle!
- DJ Freddie Covell will keep the party going, with all competitors and HISC Members welcome to dance the night away!
- Sunday 6 October – The “Finals” will take place!
- This is a spectator-friendly event, with viewing opportunities and commentary from the Club House and on the water via spectator boats.
