The final regatta of the Burnso Elliott 5.9 Traveller Series will be held at Sandspit Yacht Club on the weekend of 5th and 6th October. The series has been highly competitive with fifteen boats participating. Racing has been intense with multiple race winners in each regatta due to improved boat performance. The last regatta at Russell saw Zoot Allures as the overall winner in light conditions.
Sandspit will host the final race with R+R currently leading the series, closely followed by Slam Dunk. Revelry, Usain Boat, Zoot Allures, and Bloodline are also in contention for the top spots. The Ranking Trophy for most improved overall is a close race between Nyx, Usain Boat, and Class Act.
Sandspit is known for great sailing conditions and excellent facilities for the fleet. The class will enjoy a BBQ and traditional end-of-series meal during the event.
