Thomas Ruyant and TR Racing preparing for The Ocean Race
The TR Racing Team, led by skipper Thomas Ruyant, is gearing up for The Ocean Race Europe 2025 and The Ocean Race 2027. They will be sailing aboard the VULNERABLE, designed by Koch / Finot Conq. This new venture aligns with the international expansion of their partner Advens.
After Thomas Ruyant’s solo Vendée Globe challenge, the team will shift focus to fully-crewed races. They plan to participate in The Ocean Race Europe in 2025, The Ocean Race Atlantic in 2026, and The Ocean Race in 2027. A new boat is currently being designed for the 2026 race.
Thomas Ruyant, a seasoned sailor with numerous victories in short-handed offshore races, is excited about the upcoming challenges. He emphasizes the transition from solo to fully-crewed races and the opportunity to maximize the potential of their IMOCA boat.
The TR Racing Team is looking forward to assembling a strong crew and customizing their boat for these new race formats. With a mix of solo and fully-crewed races in the IMOCA class, they are eager to explore the capabilities of their high-performance machines with a team effort.
