Athena Pathway of the United Kingdom placed third in the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup, just missing out on the final by one point. The British team competed against Italy, America, Sweden, Spain, and Australia in the Semi-Final. Despite their efforts, they finished behind America and were unable to advance.

Skipper Nick Robins expressed disappointment at not making the final but praised the team’s effort. Co-Founder and Skipper of the Women’s America’s Cup Team, Hannah Mills OBE, commended the team for their performance and highlighted the lessons learned for the upcoming Puig Women’s America’s Cup in October.

The races were closely contested, with intense moments, penalties, and close finishes. Athena Pathway displayed skill and determination, securing third place in some races. Ultimately, they fell short in the last race, allowing NYYC American Magic to advance to the final.

Athena Pathway will now focus on the Puig Women’s America’s Cup starting on October 5th.
