Another intense day is unfolding at Lake Silvaplana (SUI) for the fifth day of racing in the iQFOiL International Games & U23 World Championships.
Kristýna PINOSOVÁ from the Czech Republic secured the top spot in today’s marathon in the women’s division. This notable victory, which counts as two results, enables her to leap to 4th place in the overall rankings. Norway’s Maya GYSLER and Tuva OPPEDAL claimed 2nd and 3rd places respectively, closely followed by Lola SORIN from France.
With only two more course races remaining, competitors are eager to see who will make it into the top 10 and advance to the medal races on the following day.
In the men’s division, Italy’s Manolo Modena led the entire marathon, securing a crucial win that keeps him well-positioned in the top 10 and advancing to the medal races. His training partner, Andy Brown from Great Britain, finished strong in 2nd place, while Fin Hawkins from Britain took home the 3rd place.
