Globe 40 leg 1 is about to start on Virtual Regatta, with the race from Cadiz to Cape Verde beginning on September 14, 2024. The first leg covers 1600 miles in the trade winds, culminating in Mindelo on the island of Sao Vincente. Participants have the chance to win 2 plane tickets to Reunion Island by competing in the prologue and the 6 legs of the race.
