Canada’s “It’s Time” campaign champions women’s sports at first Puig Women America’s Cup

Team Canada’s Women’s Team, led by Isabella Bertold, has launched the “It’s Time” campaign—a powerful initiative championing women’s sports as they compete in the first Puig Women America’s Cup in Barcelona. This historic event marks the first time women have competed in the prestigious America’s Cup, dating back to 1851.

The campaign aims to inspire future generations of female athletes and challenge the male-dominated status quo in sailing. It highlights the passion and determination of Team Canada’s women’s team sailing under Concord Pacific Racing. Isabella Bertold, Principal of Concord Pacific Racing, emphasizes the importance of providing role models for young girls and showcasing the talent of female athletes at the highest level.

The campaign aligns with the findings of Canadian Women & Sport, which show a strong demand for increased representation and visibility of women’s sports. Corporate partners like Concord Green Energy, RBC, TELUS, and Dilawri are supporting the campaign to amplify its message of gender equity and diversity in sport.

Fans can watch the Puig Women’s America’s Cup live on TELUS Optik TV, TSN, the official America’s Cup website, and YouTube. The “It’s Time” campaign invites fans to share their stories and support for women’s sports using the hashtag #ItsTime to promote gender equity and visibility for women in sport.
