Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club hosted the Ceilidh Cup 2024 Match Racing event, which took place on 5-6 October 2024. The home team emerged victorious, claiming the Ceilidh Cup and securing their spot in the RYA National Match Racing Series. A total of eight teams participated in the competition, with five teams also vying for the Scottish Student sailing Match Racing Championship.

The weekend saw challenging sailing conditions with varying winds, but the teams managed to complete a full schedule of racing. In the end, Hamish Taylor’s team from RNCYC dominated the round robin leaderboard, ultimately winning the event. The semi-finals and finals were hotly contested, with Taylor’s team emerging as the champions.

3rd – Helensburgh SC
4th – RLYC
5th – Strath B
6th – Dundee University
7th – Glasgow B
8th – Glasgow A
