Two talented sailing pupils from the Royal Hospital School, Harriet George and Toby Smith, have been selected for the prestigious Athena Under 21 Squad. Their exceptional performances at the WASZP National Championship earned them coveted places in the squad, known for nurturing elite sailing talent.
Toby’s sailing journey began unexpectedly with his father and has taken him from club to international competitions. Harriet, on the other hand, followed a family tradition in sailing and progressed from Laser to WASZP class with the support of her family.
Director of sailing at RHS, Ed Sibson, expressed pride in the pupils’ achievements, highlighting their hard work and passion for sailing. Both Harriet and Toby are looking forward to exciting opportunities ahead, with Toby aiming for the WASZP Worlds in 2025 and Harriet focusing on improving for the Worlds in Weymouth next year.
