San Diego police have confirmed the arrest of a man who snuck aboard the support vessel of Mark Zuckerberg while intoxicated and threw items into the water. San Diego Harbor Police responded to a reported disturbance at Broadway Pier on 19th October, where they found an individual trespassing on board the 67-metre vessel named Wingman. The man, identified as 35-year-old Christopher Gerritt, was detained and arrested at around 2:30 p.m. Gerritt boarded the Damen support vessel, carrying toys and tenders for Zuckerberg’s primary yacht, before moving onto a tender docked nearby. He was arrested at gunpoint and removed from the vessel after admitting to drug use, specifically methamphetamine, at the time of the incident. Gerritt, originally from Florida, was found to be non-compliant with legal requirements related to his out-of-state status due to prior convictions. He faces charges including drug use, trespassing, and failure to comply with registration requirements as a sex offender transient. Investigations are ongoing to determine how Gerritt managed to board the yacht, raising concerns about security measures both at the marina and on the vessel. The authorities from the Port of San Diego have not provided immediate comment on the situation.
