The ORC World Championship at New York Yacht Club on Day 3 saw perfect inshore racing conditions, with three races held in ideal weather. Principal Race Officer Tom Duggan called for Windward-Leeward races for all classes on course areas outside Narragansett Bay. The leaders in each class – Victor Wild’s FOX 2.0 in Class 0, Austin and Gwen Fragomen’s INTERLODGE IV in Class A, and Marcin Sutkowski’s WIND WHISPER 44 in Class B – showcased their skill in the challenging conditions.

FOX tactician Andy Horton emphasized the hard work and preparation that went into their victories, while runner-up Paul Zabetakis noted the competitive nature of Class A racing. The day’s racing was closely contested, with small margins separating the top finishers in each class.

In Maxi racing, VESPER dominated with three first-place finishes, but their victories were hard-fought and closely contested. More windward-leeward races are scheduled for the next day of racing in the championships.

Complete results and race replays can be found on the ORC website, with more information available on the New York Yacht Club website.
