World sailing is excited to announce the return of the Sustainability Sessions for a second season. The series will cover topics such as marine regeneration projects, reducing emissions through boat building innovation, recycling wetsuits, and becoming a ‘Clean Class’. The sessions will feature leaders in sustainability and will kick off on 9 October 2024 with a focus on biodiversity projects at the America’s Cup. Future sessions will highlight efforts by organizations such as IMOCA, the Ocean Race, and the Swedish sailing Federation to protect the environment. World sailing‘s Director of Sustainability, Alexandra Rickham, is thrilled to continue sharing success stories and inspiring change within the sailing community. The schedule for Season 2 includes a variety of topics from plastic waste utilization to educating young sailors. Join the conversation and learn more about sustainability in sailing.
